BLS CPR for Healthcare Providers
This course teaches the skills of CPR for all ages. It also includes two-person CPR, use of barrier devices (pocket mask, bag-valve mask, faceshields), use of an automated external defibrillator (AED), and choking skills for both conscious and unconscious victims. Textbooks are required and included with the cost of this course. An American Heart Association Healthcare Provider Certification card is issued for two years upon successful completion of the course.

Heartsaver AED is a credentialed course that teaches the techniques of adult CPR, choking, and how to use an automated external defibrillator (AED). This is the recommended course if you have an AED at your worksite, or if you are purchasing or considering the purchase of an AED for your worksite. The fee includes the cost of the required textbook.

Family & Friends CPR is a non-credentialed course that teaches how to recognize and
help victims of life-threatening emergencies including heart attack, cardiac arrest, stroke, and choking. This course is intended for those who want to learn these skills for
their own information. No testing is involved. It is offered in modules of
Adult / Child CPR and Infant CPR.

Upon completion of this course, the participant will be able to identify the principles and guidelines for teaching all American Heart Association basic life support courses. BLS and HS Instructor Manual and Instructor Essentials Courses are included in the cost of this course and are mailed to the participant upon receipt of registration and payment.
Prerequisites:
- Current 2025 BLS Provider Certification
- Current 2025 Heartsaver First Aid and CPR with AED Adult, Child, and Infant TOTAL Certification
- Advance completion of the BLS Instructor Essentials Course
- Advance completion of the Heartsaver Instructor Essentials Course
- Heartsaver Instructor – $500

- Instructor Renewal – $200
Prerequisites:
- Must have a current Instructor Card
- Must have proof of having taught four courses in the previous 2 years
- Must have a current Monitoring Form Completed by a Training Center Faculty before the renewal date. No sooner than 4 months before the expiration date on their instructor’s card.
- Must have current Instructor Manuals (available for additional fee)
- Must be a member of the American Heart Association Instructor Network
- There will be no exceptions for late renewals, and it is the instructor responsibility to arrange and complete all requirements before the in-person renewal class.
