  • Heartsaver First Aid

A science based American Heart Association First Aid course. It teaches basic first aid techniques for the workplace in a new “hands-on” format, but the skills apply in any setting. Learn how to manage sudden illness and injuries in the first few minutes until professional help arrives. Textbooks are required and included in the cost of the course.

This program is approved by the State Daycare Licensing Agency and the State Board of Education for newly certifying teachers.

  • Pediatric First Aid

Pediatric First Aid is a new science based American Heart Association First Aid course. Participants learn how to manage injury and illness in children, until professional help arrives. Five modules are included: First Aid Basics which includes information on how to interact with children of different ages from birth to adolescents up to 18 years, Medical Emergencies, Injury Emergencies, Environmental Emergencies, and Optional Topics which include eye injuries, bites and stings, and suspected abuse. The optional CPR/AED modules address CPR and AED for adults & children and CPR for infants. A Heart-saver Pediatric First Aid card valid for two years is issued to participants who successfully complete the course. Textbooks are required and included in the cost.

This program is approved by the State Daycare Licensing Agency and the State Board of Education for newly certifying teachers. (This program is not appropriate for Adult Daycare Providers or 1st Responders at the Worksite.)
